The Arts
From a bullied child who found belonging in ballet to an international choreographer and producer raising thousands for charity through art.
A Journey Through Movement
At 12 years old, ballet became salvation. A community that saw “weirdness” as beautiful uniqueness, calling Vlad “a diamond in the rough.” What followed were years of rigorous training, international scholarships, and lead roles at prestigious institutions.
Training at Centro de Arte y Ballet in Mexico during the golden years of 2006-2009. Then Goh Ballet Academy in Vancouver, joining the Youth Company, dancing in Vancouver Opera's Aida under the choreography of Director Chan Hon Goh.
Though the performing career ended in 2013, the art never stopped. Teaching became healing. Choreography became purpose. And theatrical productions became platforms for giving back.

North Star Performing Arts China Tour
April 2023 — A month-long cultural exchange tour across 11 Chinese cities, performing at universities and reaching an estimated 20 million people through live performances and online livestreams.
The China Tour
In April 2023, Vlad joined North Star Performing Arts on a month-long cultural exchange tour across China — performing at universities in 11 cities including Guangzhou, Wuhan, Harbin, Chengdu, Beijing, Chongqing, and Shanghai. At 华南农业大学珠江学院 in Guangzhou, he danced lead roles in Swan Lake and the Chinese classic 九儿 under his stage name 费拉德, performing to packed auditoriums of thousands.
The tour was one of the most meaningful experiences of his life. After years of personal battles — career loss, mental health struggles, rebuilding from the ground up — to stand on stage in a country on the other side of the world and connect with audiences through dance was proof that the journey had been worth every painful step. It was a reminder that art transcends language, borders, and personal history.
The experience led to ongoing partnerships with seven Chinese universities, where Vlad now serves as International Tutor and Artistic Advisor — building a lasting bridge between North American and Chinese performing arts education.
Comedy & Heart
In returning to the stage, Vlad has gravitated toward the comedic, larger-than-life characters — Mother Ginger and Widow Simone. These roles embody his philosophy: choosing joy through comedy, finding light in theatrical darkness.

Mother Ginger
The towering, beloved character from The Nutcracker whose voluminous skirt conceals dancing polichinelles — a moment of wonder and whimsy that delights audiences of all ages.

Widow Simone
The comically determined mother from La Fille Mal Gardée, traditionally performed by a man in drag — a role that combines physical comedy with genuine maternal warmth.
