Network Marketing in Canada: Building a Team From Scratch
MAKE Wellness only opened in Canada on July 1, 2026, which means I am early, with no local proof and no network. That sounds like a disadvantage. I think it might be the opposite.

Being first somewhere is mostly a story people tell afterward, once it worked. From the inside, on day one, it just feels like being alone in a quiet room.
The company I am building this with opened in Canada on July 1, 2026. Before that, getting the products up here meant a friend carrying boxes across the border whenever she could, never enough, never on a schedule, which is the whole small story I told in the post about why I joined at all. So when I say I am building from scratch, I mean it in the most literal way available. There is no Canadian downline to inherit, no warm room of people already doing this near me, no stack of local results to point at. There is a new market, a product I had used for the better part of a year before there was a dollar in it, and me.
On paper that is a disadvantage, and I am not going to pretend the disadvantages are not real. But I have started to think the early-and-alone position is quietly one of the better ones to be in, for a specific reason.

The plain lane is wide open here
Every market like this eventually fills up with the loud version. The income screenshots, the rented-lifestyle posts, the "DM me to learn more" comments under strangers' photos, the breathless before-and-afters. It arrives everywhere, and Canada will get its share. But right now, early, that noise has not fully arrived yet, and the lane I actually want to drive in, the plain one, the one where you name the company up front, admit most people earn little, refuse the income figures, and just answer questions, is almost completely empty.
That is the opportunity that actually interests me. Not getting in before the product is popular. Getting in before the plain version is taken. The person who shows up early in a new market doing the calm, plain, no-hype version becomes the thing the skeptical people find when the loud version finally arrives and sends them searching for someone who is not shouting. I would rather be that than be first to the gold rush.
The part nobody else here is doing
There is a second open door, and it is mine in a way it could not be for almost anyone else. There are a lot of Brazilians in Canada, and there is essentially nobody talking about any of this to them, in Portuguese, without the hype. I am Brazilian, I live on Vancouver Island, I write everything I publish in both languages, and that combination, immigrant, bilingual, allergic to hype, is not a position anyone has to fight me for. It is just empty. A diaspora building a life in a new country is exactly the audience that a calm, plain "here is a small stream you can build, here is what it really is and is not" was made for, and they are being served by no one.
What from scratch actually looks like
I want to be plain about the starting line, because the rest of this series has been. I have no team. I have a handful of customers, a blog, a habit, and a country that just got access. I have not earned a trip, I have not hit a milestone, and I will not show you a number because there is not one to show. What I have instead is a position I think is a strong one, early in a new market, in the empty plain lane, with a language and a story almost nobody else here can offer, building the slow way on purpose.
If you are also in Canada, also early, also tired of the loud version, that is not a coincidence I want to oversell. It is just the door this whole series has been describing, standing open in a country that only just unlocked it. I am at the very start of walking through it. The invitation is only ever to come build alongside, at your own pace, in the plain version, and see what a few years of small steady work actually does.

FAQ
How long were you using the products before Canada officially launched?
Close to a year. A friend was carrying boxes across the border when she could, which meant supply was unpredictable and small. I had real experience with the products long before there was any business case to make about them here.
Do you need prior sales experience to build a team here?
I don't have a sales background. What I'm doing is closer to writing and answering questions than anything I will call selling. The plain, no-hype approach I'm describing doesn't require a closer's instincts - it requires patience and willingness to be specific about what this is and isn't.
Why focus on the Brazilian-Canadian community specifically?
Because it's a real gap, not a strategy I invented. There's a large Brazilian diaspora in Canada and essentially no one talking about building something like this in Portuguese, without hype, for people navigating life in a new country. That combination is just mine to occupy right now.
What does the 'plain lane' actually mean in practice?
It means naming the company upfront, admitting most people earn modest amounts, refusing to post income screenshots, and just answering questions. It's the opposite of the DM-me-to-learn-more style. Right now in Canada, that lane is nearly empty, which is the actual opportunity I'm interested in.
Can someone join you even if they're not in British Columbia?
Yes. Canada just got access on July 1, 2026 and the build-alongside invitation I'm describing is open to anyone in the country. Location matters less than whether the plain, slow-build approach fits how you actually want to work.
Everything I write comes from one idea: build a life you own, one stream at a time.
